14.11.18 / Protestors gathered outside Beirut’s Parliament to demand the government endorse a bill giving equal citizenship rights to men and women.
Lebanon’s nationality law is such that Lebanese women cannot pass citizenship to foreign spouses or to their children, at times resulting in their complete statelessness.
The protest, organized by the “My Nationality Is My Dignity” campaign, took place while Parliament was in session.
