A woman wins the Physics Nobel prize for the first time in 55 years
02.10.18 / Donna Strickland has become the first woman to win the Physics Nobel prize since 1963, and only the third ever female recipient. The award recognises her discoveries in laser physics, and she shares it with Arthur Ashkin and Gerard Mourou.
