In Bangladesh, police launch an all-woman unit to fight online abuse
An all-woman team was launched by the police in Bangladesh on Monday to encourage women to report digital abuse, which includes so-called revenge porn, the hacking of social media accounts and online threats from blackmailers.

The initiative comes as authorities seek to address the growing public concern about gender-based violence. Bangladesh has seen a surge of sexual crimes the past few years, with nearly a thousand incidents reported between January and September this year.
